Tri-Sure, a global leader in industrial closure and packaging component solutions, today announced the commercial launch of TulipCap™, an innovative two-component system consisting of a polyethylene overcap, with post-consumer recycled material optional, and a flexible thermoplastic elastomer insert. Together, the components create a secure, repeatable, gas-tight seal without the need for specialized tools or closing equipment.
TulipCap™ redefines what a plastic container closure can deliver. The product will be showcased live at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany (May 7–13, 2026), where Tri-Sure will exhibit at Hall 10, Stand B19.
How TulipCap™ Works
TulipCap™ is a two-component system consisting of a PCR-compatible (PE) overcap and a soft, flexible compound Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) insert. When the overcap is closed, it exerts pressure on the insert, causing it to expand within the container neck. The soft compound then compresses into the inner diameter of the neck, forming a secure, gas-tight radial seal, without the need for specialized tools or expensive closing equipment.
